Medical Device Reprocessing Department Renovation and Centralization

Infection control lead for centralization of medical device reprocessing in an acute care hospital. Project included both HVAC and space redesign to create one-way flow, increase staff efficiency and to ensure adherence of CSA guidelines as they pertain to medical device reprocessing departments as well as clean and soiled utility rooms. Project also included renovations of fourteen additional rooms creating utility rooms within the organization optimizing space and ensuring staff and patient safety by creating spaces to ensure best practice compliance.
